NORCROSS, Ga. – Spring Hill College cross country runner Kate Imwalle was named the OnePath Systems Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) Female Runner of the Week for October 3-9, 2011, giving the Badgers a sweep of the male and female awards in the sport for the third time in 2011 as fellow senior Will Kirkikis of Kenner, La., also won the men's category.

Imwalle, a senior from Mobile's McGill-Toolen Catholic High School, won the Watson Ford Invitational hosted by Mississippi College on Friday afternoon in Clinton, Miss., and in the process set a new SHC school record in the women's 6-kilometer distance by marking a time of 23:05.77.

The Badgers will next travel to Rome, Ga., to run in the Southeastern Classic at 10 a.m.
