ROME, Ga. – The Spring Hill College men's cross country team finished in 23rd place out of 34 teams at the Southeast Classic hosted by Berry College on Saturday morning.
The Badgers collected a total of 707 points and ran a total team time of 2:24:32.72 in an average time of 28:54.55 over the 8-kilometer course.
Individually, freshman Ben Redman of Spanish Fort, Ala., finished in 155th place of 309 runners in 28:30.23 while senior Christopher "Will" Kirkikis of Kenner, La., finished in 162nd place in a time of 28:37.50.
The next three Badger finishers were freshman John Russell of Cullman, Ala., who ran in 169th position in a time of 28:45.46, freshman Conner Kirkikis of Kenner at 189th in 29:05.43, and senior Christian Boyer from Mobile's McGill-Toolen Catholic High School who was 204th at 29:34.10.
The 6th and 7th finishers for the Badgers were freshman Ben Fleming of Metairie, La., who ran 222nd in 29:59.69 and senior Brandon Arquette of Greenville, S.C., who placed 242nd in a time of 30:46.14
Other runners for SHC were sophomore Fritz Boudreaux of Pensacola, Fla., in a time of 31:23.74 and a 256th place finish along with junior Thomas Kinsey from Fairhope, Ala., who finished the SHC day with a 287th place finish and a time of 34:20.71.
The Badgers next run at the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) Championships at Choctaw Trails in Clinton, Miss., on Saturday, November 5.
