Senior Yiting Cao now has 1,011 kills in 202 career sets on The Hill

With a 22-kill performance in the Badgers' 3-0 victory at Birmingham-Southern College on Saturday night, senior right side hitter Yiting Cao of Shanghai, China, surpassed the 1,000 kills plateau and now stands at 1,011 kills in her 2-year career at Spring Hill College.

A 2010 3rd team member of the NAIA All America team and the 2010 SSAC West Division Player of the Year, Cao joined the Badgers after a successful 2-year career at Illinois Central College.

Currently, she holds a 5.0 kills per set average, 636 receptions, 628 digs, 139 total blocks, 117 service aces and 62 assists along with a .389 attack percentage in 202 sets played during her career on the Hill.

Cao is currently leading the NAIA this season with a 5.38 kills per set average, is second in total kills with 560 and is 4th overall with .407 attack percentage.

A Graphic Design major, Cao is also a 2010 member of the Southern States Athletic Conference All Academic team.

The Badgers (34-0, 12-0 SSAC West) are the only remaining undefeated volleyball team in the NAIA and will host division foe Belhaven University (22-11, 5-7 SSAC West) at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center in the final home match of the 2011 regular season.
