GULFPORT, Miss. – At the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) annual Soccer Awards Banquet on Wednesday night, Spring Hill College women's soccer players garnered seven individual awards.

Sophomore midfielder Alexandra Suess of St. Louis, Mo., was the Badgers' representative on the 2011 Musco Lighting/SSAC Champions of Character Team. Suess appeared in 16 matches this season with three starts and scored one goal off five shots.

The conference also named six Badgers to the 2011 SSAC All-Academic Team. Sophomore defender Molly Cowley of Jefferson City, Mo., senior Elaine Femmer of St. Louis, Mo., senior forward Abby Galen of St. Louis, senior defender Lorie Pendergast from St. Louis, senior Amber O'Connor of Ham Lake, Minn., and senior midfielder Rachel Nance of St. Louis all earned recognition for their excellence in the classroom as well as the soccer pitch.
