SIOUX CITY, Iowa. -- The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced on Sunday that the Spring Hill College volleyball team was chosen as the Champions of Character team for the 2011 NAIA Volleyball National Championship presented by CNOS Foundation.
Inherent to the Champions of Character process is the belief that character is handed down from one generation to the next. When those who provide athletic opportunities are willing to commit to character-driven athletics and put the athlete first, both the game and society benefit overall.
Driven by the five core character values of integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship and servant leadership, the NAIA's Champions of Character process equips athletic participants (coaches, athletic administrators, and parents) with the skills necessary to build character in the context of sport and athletics.
