The Spring Hill College Department of Athletics has named basketball players Stephen Burches and Kristin Rogers as its USA ROTC-Spring Hill College Student-Athletes of the Week for their accomplishments during the week of January 9-15, 2012.
 

Burches, a senior guard from Hammond, La., scored 25 points with 14 assists in two conference road games this week while also hauling in 11 rebounds and taking away three steals. For the year, Burches is shooting 48.7% (38-78) and leads the team in both assists (76) and steals (30).

Rogers, a junior forward from Ft. Walton Beach, Fla., scored 27 points in two conference road games and took in 11 rebounds with five assists, two steals and a blocked shot. For far this season, she is shooting 39.2% (38-97) with 72 rebounds, 14 steals and five blocks.

In recognition of this honor, each week's winners of USA ROTC-Spring Hill College Student-Athletes of the Week award will receive a T-shirt, water bottle and handy gym bag compliments of the University of South Alabama ROTC.
