The Spring Hill College Department of Athletics has named basketball players Tyler Schwab and Sha Sha Buchanan as its USA ROTC-Spring Hill College Student-Athletes of the Week for their accomplishments during the week of January 16-22, 2012.
 

Schwab, a senior point guard from Panama City, Fla., scored eight points with five assists in the Badgers' 74-62 win over Faulkner University on Saturday. For the season, Schwab is averaging 3.6 points and 1.5 rebounds per game with a total of 52 assists and a shooting percentage of 38.3% (13-34).

Buchanan, a sophomore forward from Mobile's McGill-Toolen Catholic High School, scored 29 points with 14 rebounds in two games this week. For the year, she is averaging 6.0 points and 3.8 rebounds in just nine appearances since joining the team following volleyball season.

In recognition of this honor, each week's winners of USA ROTC-Spring Hill College Student-Athletes of the Week award will receive a T-shirt, water bottle and handy gym bag compliments of the University of South Alabama ROTC.
