MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Spring Hill College women's basketball team lost a conference contest at Faulkner University by the score of 81-53 on Thursday evening.
Faulkner (18-8, 9-6 SSAC) came out firing and quickly built a 19-2 advantage just 7 minutes into the game and held a 45-14 advantage at the half.
For Spring Hill, junior center April Bradford scored 10 points as the Badgers shot 26.8% (18-67) from the field and 23.5% (4-17) from 3-point land. SHC turned the ball over 10 times in the face of four Lady Eagle steals.
Brittany Carter scored 16 points with 20 rebounds to lead four Lady Eagles that reached double-digits. Faulkner shot 49.3% (34-69) overall and 27.8% (5-18) from 3-point distance. Faulkner out-rebounded SHC 49-28.
Spring Hill (8-17, 3-12 SSAC) will visit the University of Mobile Lady Rams (7-18, 4-11 SSAC) for a conference game at H. Austill Pharr Gymnasium on Saturday at 5 p.m.
