On Friday evening, the Spring Hill College softball team rebounded from a tough outing at the University of Mobile Classic earlier this week by downing Bryan College 6-1 at the opening day of the Gulf Coast Invitational in Gulf Shores, Ala.

Spring Hill (5-5) starter Linsey Dickerson (3-3) allowed five hits with four strikeouts and an unearned run.

The Badgers collected eight total hits off Bryan (6-10) pitching as junior left fielder Mariha Partman was 2-for-3 with a triple and junior right fielder Katelyn Hinson also enjoyed a 2-for-3 night at the plate.

Spring Hill next plays Martin Methodist College (8-5) on Saturday at 9 a.m. followed by the University of Houston-Victoria at 1 p.m. in the tournament's second day.
