ORANGE BEACH, Ala. – The Spring Hill College men's tennis team earned a measure of revenge over Transylvania University by rallying from a 0-4 start to sweep though the Number 2-6 singles matches for an amazing 5-4 win at the Orange Beach Tennis Center on Friday afternoon.
On Wednesday, Transylvania defeated the Badgers 6-3 at the Copeland-Cox Tennis Center.
The Pioneers (1-2) led 3-0 after sweeping victories on all three doubles courts and took the No. 1 singles court 6-1; 6-1, but the Badgers took the next five singles matches highlighted by a 3-6, 6-4, 7-6 win by freshman Hayden Cotton on No. 4 and a 4-6, 6-2, 7-6 win by junior Jake Lyons on No. 5.
