The Spring Hill College softball team lost both ends of a non-conference doubleheader by the identical scores of 2-1 and 2-1 on Monday afternoon at Murray Field.
In the first game, the Panthers (11-3) rallied from a 1-0 deficit in the top of the 7th inning to score two unearned runs for the win. BSC centerfielder drove in the tying run with a single to right field and shortstop Taylor Bassett put the panthers ahead with a sacrifice fly to center that scored left fielder Joanna Jernigan who had earlier reached base when her sacrifice bunt attempt was thrown into right field by Badger 3rd baseman freshman Elise deBruler.
SHC starter Linsey Dickerson (6-8) was the hard-luck loser in seven innings with four hits, six walks and one strikeout. Bethany Fronk (4-0) was the winner in relief for BSC going three innings with three hits and no walks or strikeouts.
Badger right fielder Katelyn Hinson was 2-for-3 in the first game while centerfielder Taylor Webre drove in the lone Spring Hill run in the 5th inning with a single to right field.
The Panthers also won the nightcap 2-1 as Spring Hill fell to 10-12 on the year.
Spring Hill will next host non-conference foe Judson College in a doubleheader at Murray Field on Friday at 1 p.m.
