Men's Golf prepped for the SSAC Tournament in Meridian

MERIDIAN, Miss. – The Spring Hill College men's golf team finished 4th of five teams with a final three-round +81 score of 911 (304, 301, 306) at the 4th annual Lou Hart Invitational hosted by Meridian Community College at Northwood Country Club on Tuesday.

Freshman Jordan Portal of Miami, Fla., carded a team-leading 225 (73, 73, 79, +12) over the par-71, 6350-yard course for an individual finish in 11th place out of 28 golfers.

Sophomore Phillip Dugan of Lake Forest, Ill., (74, 77, 77, +15) closed in a tie at 13th position while freshman Robert Bo Cox of Gardendale, Ala., finished at 16th place in a score of 229 (77, 77, 75, +16).

Junior Nathan Ceille of Hales Corners, Wis., finished in 20th place with scores of 80, 80, 75 (235, +22) and junior Joseph Webster of Trussville, Ala., rounded out the Badger squad in 26th place with a +30 score of 243 (85, 74, 84, +30).

The Badgers will next play at the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) Championships at The Oaks Golf Club in Pass Christian, Miss. on April 16-18.
