HATTIESBURG, Miss. – On Thursday afternoon, the Spring Hill College women's tennis team lost an 8-1 conference outcome at 9th-ranked William Carey University.

Spring Hill trailed 2-1 after doubles play, but did mange to pull off the upset on the No. 1 court where Shelby Fritscher and Tara Montegut took down Carda Orna and Joyce Oliveira in an 8-4 score. Carey won all six singles courts for the 8-1 victory.
