Spring Hill College volleyball head coach Dr. Peggy Martin has announced the signing of Jalen Jones from Episcopal High School in Baton Rouge, La.

Jones, a 6-foot-2 player with a 35-inch vertical leap, has played middle blocker, outside hitter and right side hitter under EHC head coach Beverly Russell. She previously lettered two years under Coach Sheila Achee at Baton Rouge Magnet High School.

As a junior, Jones earned All-District honors as well as her team's Offensive Award for earning the highest individual score in one match and the highest cumulative points total for the season. A two-year qualifier for the National Volleyball Championships under Coach Maria Gonzales with the Capitol City Volleyball Club, Jones serves her community by being an active member of Key Club since 2009. She looks forward to majoring in Biology.

"Jalen will bring a great attitude and big presence to our team," says Martin. "She is a hard worker who is willing to put in the time to refine her skills in order to compete at the collegiate level. We are excited Jalen has chosen to be a Badger."
