Spring Hill College head softball coach Alison Sellers-Cook has announced that Brittany Pounders of Mississippi's East Central Community College (ECCC) has signed an Athletic Grant in Aid with the Badgers.

Pounders was named a Top Slugger at ECCC in both 2011 and 2012 while playing for the Decatur, Miss., school. As a freshman, Pounders led the Warriors to a No. 5 national ranking, a State Championship and the finals of Region 23.

As a prep player at Southeast High School in Meridian, Miss., Pounders led her team in hitting for five consecutive seasons (2006-10). As a senior, she hit for a .571 average with six homeruns and 57 RBI.

In 2008, she won her team's Defense Award while hitting 14 homeruns and collecting 56 RBI.
