LONGVIEW, Texas – The Spring Hill College men's soccer team finished a two-game sweep of the Wiley College Wildcats this weekend with a 4-0 non-conference road win on Sunday.

Sophomore Esteban Angel of Guayaquil, Ecuador, opened the Badger scoring in the 11th minute with a nice goal kicked home from seven yards out off an airborne pass by junior Patrick Culotta of New Orleans, La.

The Badgers made it 2-0 in the 29th minute when sophomore Jose Mario Escalante of Santa Cruz, Bolivia, score unassisted with a free kick from 21 yards away just outside the corner of the penalty area.

Freshman Andrew McInnis of Mandeville, La., stuck a third goal in the net for SHC with just 50 seconds left on the first half clock off an assist by junior Nick Link of Elizabethtown, Ky. Link later finished off the scoring in the 60th minute with an unassisted goal.

The Badger used all three of their goalkeepers in the team shutout with starter Gabriel Jaramillo of Miami, Fla., taking his second win of the year with just one save. Badger keepers faced a total of 13 shots by the Wildcats while SHC peppered Lorenzo Muniz of Wiley with 18 shots.

Spring Hill (2-0) will next host the University of St. Thomas from Houston, Texas, in a non-conference match beginning at 2 p.m. on Library Field on Saturday.
