The Spring Hill College women's cross country team ran in 14th position out of 15 teams at the Azalea City Classic hosted by the University of South Alabama at the USA Brookley Complex on Saturday morning.
As a team, the Badgers ran a total team time of 2:20:29.19 over the 6-kilometer course for a total of 374 points and an average team time of 28:05.84.
Junior Emily Dolan from Mobile's McGill-Toolen Catholic High School crossed the line first for the Badgers and finished in 65th place out of 115 runners with a time of 26:11.25.
Senior Payton Tanner of Fairhope, Ala., finished in 80th position at 27:10.20 while senior Melissa Menendez of Miami, Fla., was in 90th place with a time of 28:02.77 over the 5-kilometer course.
The 4th and 5th Badgers to cross the line were senior Kiearstan Carter of Murphy High School in Mobile who placed 97th at 28:58.06 and junior Claire Stewart of Mt. Juliet, Tenn., was 104th at 30:06.91.
The Badgers next run at the Gulf Coast Stampede hosted by the University of West Florida in Pensacola, Fla., on Saturday at 7:30 a.m.
