The Spring Hill College men's soccer team lost a 2-0 conference decision to the Southern Wesleyan University Warriors on Saturday evening at Library Field.

The Warriors (8-1, 3-1 SSAC) and the Badgers fought to a scoreless tie at the halftime intermission, but SWU finally broke the scoring ice in the 67th minute when Luis Malagon's header off an entry pass by Raul Canelos found its way into the net.

SWU added an insurance goal in the 76th minute when Daniel Pena's long-distance attempt from virtually the midfield stripe looped over the head of SHC freshman goalkeeper Jacob Files from Clinton, Miss.

Files successfully stopped six of the 21 shots by Warriors and John Prochak also collected six saves for SWU against 11 SHC shots. Each squad attempted four corner kicks.

Spring Hill (7-4, 2-2 SSAC) will visit conference rival William Carey University (5-3-1, 2-1 SSAC) in Hattiesburg, Miss., on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
