The Spring Hill College Department of Athletics has named soccer players Jacob Files and Courtney Harlan as its USA ROTC-Spring Hill College Student-Athletes of the Week for their performances on the pitch during the week of September 24-30, 2012.

Files, a freshman goalkeeper from Clinton, Miss., saved a penalty kick attempt by Truett-McConnell College with less than one minute left on the clock and then recovered quickly enough to stop the follow-up rebound attempt just seconds later to preserve the Badgers' 1-0 conference home win on Friday. For the season, Files holds a 4-4 record with 54 saves.

Harlan, a redshirt freshman from Mobile's McGill-Toolen Catholic High School, scored a hat trick of assists with three handouts in the Badgers' 3-0 conference home win over Southern Wesleyan University on Saturday. The transfer from LSU currently leads the SHC squad with seven goals, six assists and 20 total points.

In recognition of this honor, each week's winners of USA ROTC-Spring Hill College Student-Athletes of the Week award will receive a T-shirt, water bottle and handy gym bag compliments of the University of South Alabama ROTC.
