Women's Cross Country - Sat, Oct. 6, 2012

KISSIMMEE, Fla. – The Spring Hill College women's cross country team ran in 21st place out of 27 teams at the 17th Annual Walt Disney World® Cross Country Classic at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex on Saturday morning.

As a team, the Badgers ran a total team time of 1:55:17.90 over the 5-kilometer course for a total of 556 points and an average team time of 23:03.58.

Junior Emily Dolan from Mobile's McGill-Toolen Catholic High School finished in 69th place out of 232 runners with a time of 21:15.50 and senior Payton Tanner of Fairhope, Ala., finished in 99th position at 22:07.80.

Senior Melissa Menendez of Miami, Fla., scored in 144th place in 23:25.00 while junior Anna DeWine of Cedarville, Ohio, was 165th at 24:08.90 and senior Kiearstan Carter of Murphy High School in Mobile finished in 167th with a 24:20.70 mark.

Junior Claire Stewart of Mt. Juliet, Tenn., rounded out the Badger runners in 180th place and a time of 24:59.30.

The Badgers next host the 2nd Annual Badger Brawl at the SHC Golf Course on Thursday, October 18, 2012, at 5 p.m.
