KISSIMMEE, Fla. – The Spring Hill College men's cross country team ran in 14th place out of 23 teams at the 17th Annual Walt Disney World® Cross Country Classic at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex on Saturday morning.
The Badgers collected a total of 416 points and ran a total team time of 2:31:10.53 in an average team time of 30:14.11 over the 8-kilometer course.
Freshman Jordan Travis of Poplarville, Miss., was the top SHC finisher with a 50th place finish out of 190 runners and a time of 28:31.37.
Sophomore John Russell of Cullman, Ala., crossed the line in a time of 29:55.68 for 91st position while freshman Brennan McLean of Baton Rouge, La., placed 95th in a time of 30:02.30.
Freshman Patrick Lameka of Chicago, Ill., placed 111th with a mark of 30:47.34 and sophomore Conner Kirkikis of Kenner, La., was 127th in 31:53.84 to round out the Badger scorers.
Sophomore Ben Fleming of Metairie, La., ran in 135th position at 32:17.17, Phillip Travis of Poplarville was 148th at 33:42.39 and junior Fritz Boudreaux III of Pensacola, Fla., came in at 35;15.40 for the 160th position.
The Badgers next host the 2nd annual Badger Brawl at the SHC Golf Course on Thursday, October 18, at 5:35 p.m.
