MOUNT VERNON, Ga. – The Spring Hill College women's soccer team took a 6-2 conference road win over the Brewton-Parker College Lady Barons on Thursday afternoon.

Freshman Amanda Allen of New Orleans, La., opened the Badger scoring in the 1st half with a goal off an assist sequence by freshmen Hannah Michael from New Orleans and Courtney Harlan from Mobile.

The Badgers made it a 2-0 separation at halftime when sophomore Emily Thorpe of Shawnee Mission, Kan., cleaned up a rebounded shot with a scoring kick past the BPC keeper.

The score grew to 4-0 in the 2nd half with a Badger goal by sophomore Erin Brennan off an assist by Allen that was followed by a score off the foot of Allen via a pass from Michael.

After Brewton-Parker (0-13-1, 0-7 SSAC) made it a 4-1 contest, the Badgers answered with goal number five on the day when Harlan scratched out a score off an entry pass by Allen.

The Lady Barons made it 5-2, but SHC would tack on a final goal as Harlan registered an unassisted score late in the game for the 6-2 win.

Spring Hill (5-8, 2-5 SSAC) will now travel to Emmanuel College on Thursday for a 4 p.m. conference tussle with the Lady Lions (5-8, 1-5 SSAC) in Franklin Springs, Ga.
