MOUNT VERNON, Ga. – The Spring Hill College men's soccer team overtook the Brewton-Parker College Barons for a 3-1 conference road win on Thursday evening.

Leading SHC scorer sophomore Tyler Hartlage of Tampa, Fla., burned the Barons (3-10-1, 0-7 SSAC) for two goals while freshman Arturo Garcia of Guayaquil, Ecuador, added a third goal in the victory

With the win, the Badgers are now just one win away from securing consecutive winning seasons for the first time in the 21-year history of the program. Spring Hill College posted a 10-9 record in 2011.

Spring Hill (9-5, 4-3 SSAC) will travel to Franklin Springs, Ga., on Saturday to face the Emmanuel College Lions (7-5-1, 2-4 SSAC) in a conference match beginning at 6 p.m.
