NORCROSS, Ga. – The Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) has named Spring Hill College middle hitter Sha Sha Buchanan as its Player of the Week in Volleyball for the week of October 8-14, 2012.

Buchanan, a junior from Mobile's McGill-Toolen Catholic High School, recorded 31 kills for a .436 attack percentage in three matches this week. She also served up two aces with 5.5 blocks. For the year, Buchanan has 268 kills for a .320 attack percentage to go along with 22 aces, 54 digs and 80 total blocks.

The Badgers (22-3, 11-0 SSAC) will host Jesuit rival Loyola University (15-6, 5-6 SSAC) in a conference match on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center.
