For the second consecutive year, the Spring Hill College men's cross country team won the team championship of the Annual Badger Brawl Meet held at the Spring Hill Golf Course on Thursday evening.
The Badgers collected a total of 18 points and ran a total team time of 1:57:16.05 in an average team time of 23:27.21 over the 4-mile course to pass the University of Mobile that tallied 42 points and total time of 2:08:01.63.
Freshman Jordan Travis of Poplarville, Miss., was the individual champion in a course-record time of 22:30.51 to also post the 4th best 4-mile time in SHC history.
Freshman Brennan McLean of Baton Rouge, La., placed 2nd out of the 15 participating runners in a time of 23:07.54 and sophomore John Russell of Cullman, Ala., crossed the line in a time of 23:08.26 for 3rd place.
Freshman Patrick Lameka of Chicago, Ill., placed 5th with a mark of 23:41.43 while senior Ben Pace of Dallas, Texas, was 7th in a time of 24:48.31 and freshman Phillip Travis of Poplarville was 8th at 25:09.50.
Other SHC runners included sophomore Conner Kirkikis of Kenner, La., was 10th in 25:38.10, freshman Conner Bueche of Baton Rouge was 11th at 25:48.85 and junior Fritz Boudreaux III of Pensacola, Fla., came in at 26:37.97 for 12th position.
