The Spring Hill College Department of Athletics has named soccer players Arturo Garcia and Taryn Nash as its USA ROTC-Spring Hill College Student-Athletes of the Week for their achievements during the week of October 22-28, 2012.

Garcia, a freshman from Guayaquil, Ecuador, scored a goal and two assists in two conference matches this week. For the season, has recorded a team-high six assists to go along with five goals for a total of 16 points.

Nash, a junior setter from Independence, Mo., recorded 28 assists versus Dillard University to surpass the Badgers' career record for assists with a current total of 3625 handouts, breaking the previous mark of 3578 set by Carley Whitfield during the 2002-2004 seasons. In 2012, she has 1080 assists and a 10.19 assists per set average.

In recognition of this honor, each week's winners of USA ROTC-Spring Hill College Student-Athletes of the Week award will receive a T-shirt, water bottle and handy gym bag compliments of the University of South Alabama ROTC.
