NORCROSS, Ga. – The Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) has named Spring Hill College men's cross country runner Jordan Travis to the 2012 SSAC Men's Cross Country All-Conference team.
Jordan, a freshman from Poplarville, Miss., ran a time of 27:04.66 on Saturday at the 2012 SSAC Championships in Clinton, Miss., posting the 8th best 8-kilometer time in SHC history and a 12th place finish out of 89 runners. Unfortunately, he came up just two seconds shy of qualifying for the NAIA National Championship Meet. Jordan was also named to 2012 SSAC West Division All-Freshman Team.
Jordan's brother, Phillip Travis, also a freshman from Poplarville, named as the Spring Hill College representative on 2012 Musco Lighting SSAC Champions of Character Team. Phillip was 65th at the SAC Championships in a time of 30:35.53.
