NORCROSS, Ga. – The Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) has named Spring Hill College women's cross country runners Emily Dolan and Payton Tanner to the 2012 SSAC Women's Cross Country All-Conference Team.
Junior Emily Dolan of Mobile's McGill-Toolen Catholic High School finished 9th out of 91 runners at the 2012 SSAC Championships in Clinton, Miss., on Saturday and qualified for the 2012 NAIA National Championships with a time of 19:57.31 over the 5,000-meter course.
Senior Payton Tanner of Fairhope, Ala., placed 12th and also qualified for NAIA Nationals with a time of 20:12.00.
Junior Claire Stewart from Mt. Juliet, Tenn., was named as the Spring Hill College representative on the 2012 Musco Lighting SSAC Champions of Character Team and placed 68th in a time of 23:27.57 on Saturday.
The NAIA National Meet will be held in Vancouver, Wash, on Saturday, November 17, with a 10:30 a.m. start time.
