NORCROSS, Ga. – The Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) awarded six post-season honors to members of the 2012 Spring Hill College men's soccer team.

Three Badgers appeared on the 2012 SSAC All-Conference 2nd Team. Freshman Arturo Garcia of Guayaquil, Ecuador, scored five goals with six assists for a 16 total points on the year while appearing in all 19 matches with 16 starts. Sophomore forward Tyler Hartlage of Tampa, Fla., led the Spring Hill squad in goals scored with 11 and added an assist for 23 total points in 17 starts. Sophomore midfielder Salvador Sanchis from Miami, Fla., started all 19 matches of 2012 and collected six blocked shots and a goal scored.

Goalkeeper Jacob Files of Clinton, Miss., was named to the 2012 SSAC All-Freshman Team with a 7-8-1 record, a shutout and 93 saves in 1573 minutes in goal over 17 starts. Forward Andrew McInnis of Mandeville, La., joined Files on the All-Freshman squad scoring six goals with three assists for 15 total points.

Sophomore midfielder Nick Smith of Huntsville, Ala., was named the Spring Hill College representative on the 2012 Musco Lighting SSAC Champions of Character Team. Smith started all 19 Badger matches this season and recorded a goal, two assists and two blocked shots.
