KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced on Monday afternoon that Spring Hill College volleyball players Taryn Nash and Megan Haber were named honorable mention members of the 2012 Tachikara-NAIA All-America squad.
Nash, a junior setter from Independence, Mo., was named as an Honorable Mention member of the All-America team for the second consecutive season. In 2012, she finished the season ranked number 19 in the nation in total assists with 1360 and number 20 in assists per set with 10.3. She was also named the 2012 Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) Setter of the Year following a season in which she recorded 275 digs, 101 kills, 35 service aces and 29 total blocks.
Haber, a sophomore middle hitter from Lillian, Ala., earned the award for the first time in her career. During the 2012 campaign, Haber was selected to the 1st team of the SSAC All-Conference roster with 436 kills, a .307 attack percentage and a team-leading 128 total blocks. She ranked number 40 in the nation for total blocks and number 48 in hitting percentage.
