The Spring Hill College baseball team was stopped by rain in the middle of the 2nd inning in the first game of a conference doubleheader with Southern Wesleyan University at historic Stan Galle Field on Saturday afternoon.

The two teams will resume play at 11 a.m. on Sunday with SHC leading 1-0 and coming to bat in the bottom of the 2nd inning.

Sophomore catcher Ryan Stevens drove in the Badger run in the 1st with an RBI double to left-center with two outs.

The Badgers (5-4, 0-0 SSAC) and Southern Wesleyan (4-8, 0-3 SSAC) will finish the first game and then play two more 7-inning games at Stan Galle Field in an attempt to complete the 3-game conference series that now has been delay two days by weather.
