The Spring Hill College women's golf team finished in 14th place out of 14 teams at the 11th Annual USA Women's Invitational hosted by the University of South Alabama on Monday and Tuesday at the Azalea City Golf Course.
The 25th-ranked Badgers shot a two-round total of 730 (359, 371, +154) over the 6071-yard, par 72 course to finish 114 strokes behind the tournament's champion the University of Louisiana-Monroe (310, 306, +40).
Individually, Badger junior Avery Kyle of Plano, Texas, put down a total of 161 for a final tally of +17 (78, 83) and a 30th place finish while junior Katie Callahan of Prairie Village, Kan., finished in 71st place out of 74 competitors in a +36 score of 180 (87, 93).
Sophomore Rachel Failla of New Orleans, La., carded a +47 (93, 98, 191) to finish in 72nd place as junior Audrey Dombrowski of St. Louis, Mo., shot a +54 total of 198 (101, 97) for 73rd place.
Sophomore Stephanie Lee from Mobile's Baker High School closed out the Badger scores with a 74th place score of 216 (107, 109, +72).
The Badger ladies will next host the Spring Hill College Classic at the Spring Hill Golf Course in Mobile on Monday and Tuesday.
