Athletic Director Jim Hall announced today that Head Men's Basketball Coach Robert Thompson will not be returning to coach the team next season. Thompson and Hall informed the players of the decision earlier this week in a team meeting.

"I am grateful for Robert's dedication and service on behalf of the men's basketball program over the past 10 seasons," said Hall. "Robert is a good person whose heart has always been devoted to his players and the men's basketball program. I wish him the best in his future endeavors."

This season the men's basketball program finished with a 4-25 record and was 3-15 in SSAC competition. In his tenure as coach, the Badgers compiled a 142-156 overall record and a 70-100 mark in conference play.

Hall said a national search for the next Head Men's Basketball Coach will begin immediately.
