The Spring Hill College baseball team lost a non-conference contest 13-6 to the University of Mobile Rams on Tuesday night at historic Stan Galle Field.
The Rams (22-13) scored in every inning except the 9th and racked up 17 hits against four Badger pitchers in the win.
SHC starter senior Michael Moch (0-2) took the loss in two innings with six hits, a walk and two strikeouts. Mobile's Chase Jordan (2-0) earned the win in relief with two innings of work with two hits, a walk and a strikeout. UM starter Cole Vaughn went four innings with just two hits, three walks and two strikeouts.
At the plate, third baseman Willie Floros had two hits and three RBI for Spring Hill while catcher Ryan Stevens added two safeties with an RBI.
Mobile's right fielder Ryan Parazine was 3-for-4 with four RBI and two doubles. First baseman Braxton Hamil was also 3-for-5 with an RBI.
The Badgers (12-23, 4-14 SSAC) will travel to Cleveland, Ga., this weekend to play the Truett-McConnell College Bears (5-23, 3-15 SSAC) in a three-game conference series beginning with a single game on Friday at 2 p.m. followed by doubleheader beginning at 12 p.m. on Saturday.
