KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Spring Hill College softball team received 179 votes and moved up one spot to No. 22 in the latest NAIA Coaches Poll released on Tuesday afternoon.
Five other Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) teams joined SHC in the Top 25 as Lee University remained at No. 4, Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM) moved up one spot to No. 6, Belhaven University step up one spot to No. 9, William Carey University slipped two places to No. 14 and Brenau University dropped two spots to No. 18. The University at Mobile also received 49 votes.
The Badgers added 22 votes to last week's total of 157.
The NAIA poll is voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences, independent and unaffiliated groupings.
Spring Hill (31-9, 11-6 SSAC West) will host a non-conference doubleheader versus Judson College at Murray Field on Wednesday, at 2 p.m.
