The 2013 Spring Hill College men's outdoor track & field team collected numerous postseason awards from the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) as announced by the head coaches of the seven member institutions on Thursday.

Freshman Jordan Travis of Poplarville, Miss., was named the 2013 SSAC Freshman of the Year for his performance in the sprint events during the season. Travis also earned All-Conference honors in the 800-meter Run as well as the 4x100 meter and 4x400-meter Relays.

Freshman Lorenzo Abdur-Rahim of Marietta, Ga., joined Travis on the All-Conference roster in the Triple Jump, 110-meter Hurdles, Javelin and High Jump.

Freshman Wesley Pietri from St. Paul's Episcopal High School in Mobile earned his All-Conference accolades in the 110 Hurdles, the High Jump and the Triple Jump.

Freshman Justin Rooks from Murphy High School in Mobile was All-Conference in the Shot Put and Discus.

Freshmen Phillip Travis of Poplarville, Robert Treuting of Alexandria, La., Greg Hardnett of St. Louis, Mo., won All-Conference as part of the Badger 4x100 and 4x400 Relay teams.

Treuting also earned a place on the 2013 SSAC All-Academic Team as did sophomores Conner Kirkikis of Kenner, La., and John Russell of Cullman, Ala.
