The Spring Hill College volleyball team picked up two non-conference home victories in the UMobile/SHC Invitational taking both matches by the score of 3-1. The Badgers downed the Southeastern University Fire 25-16, 19-25, 25-19, 25-14) in the morning contest and followed that with a 25-18, 22-25, 25-18, 25-18) decision over Asbury University at the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center.

The Badgers were paced by senior middle hitter Sha Sha Buchanan of Mobile with 22 kills. Senior setter Taryn Nash of Independence, Mo., collected 57 assists and junior Sami Maurer of St. Louis, Mo., pulled in 20 digs.

In the win over Asbury, junior Megan Haber of Lillian, Ala., recorded 20 kills with five total blocks while Nash distributed 44 assists with 17 digs. Buchanan added 16 more kills to her totals in the second game.

The Badgers (4-0) will travel to Columbia, Mo., this weekend to play in the Columbia College Invitational beginning with 3rd-ranked University of Texas-Brownsville at 1 p.m. on Friday.
