METAIRIE, La. – The Spring Hill College women's cross country team finished in 5th position out of 7 teams at the 2013 Wolf Pack Invitational hosted by Loyola University (La.) and held at Lafreniere Park on Saturday morning.
As a team, the Badgers scored 112 points and ran a total time of 2:08:32.23 in an average time of 25:42.45 over the 5-kilometer course.
Individually, senior Emily Dolan of Mobile's McGill-Toolen Catholic High School finished 12th out of 50 runners with a time of 22:55.37 while her sister sophomore Katie Dolan also from McGill-Toolen placed 15th in a time of 23:10.22.
Senior Anna DeWine of Cedarville, Ohio, returned to running after a year of illness in 2012 to post a time of 24:20.29 and a 25th place finish. Fellow senior Claire Stewart from Mt. Juliet, Tenn., came in at 34th position in a time of 24:56.18 as freshman Jayde Frichter out of McGill-Toolen rounded out the SHC scorers with a mark of 33:10.17 and 48th place.
Freshman Alexis Mogil of Oxford, Ala., made her collegiate debut with a time of 34:33.86 and closed out the event in 50th place.
The Badgers next run on Saturday in Pensacola, Fla., at the Gulf Coast Stampede hosted by the University of West Florida at the Escambia County Equestrian Center with a 7:30 a.m. start.
