Sophomore keeper Jacob Files faced 18 shots on Sunday evening

PENSACOLA, Fla. – The Spring Hill College men's soccer team lost a non-conference road match to NCAA Division II opponent the University of West Florida on Sunday afternoon by the score of 2-1 in an overtime thriller.

The Argonauts (1-1) scored the game-winner in the 93rd minute of play when Dillon Gallet passed a ball into Marteinn Urbancic who then gave a touch pass to Miguel Santos for a score from the top of the box.

Spring Hill had tied the game at 1-1 with a goal by junior forward Tyler Hartlage of Tamp, Fla., off an assist from junior Eric Schwing of Mandeville, La., just 48 seconds after the Argos had taken a 1-0 lead off a Gallet header goal via a free kick from Jake Pratt in the 22nd minute of play.

SHC keeper sophomore Jacob Files of Clinton, Miss., made five saves against 18 shots by UWF while Argo goal keeper Stuart McCrory picked up the win after entering the game at halftime and making just one save against six Badger shots.

Spring Hill (3-2) will next travel to Houston, Texas, on Saturday to face non-conference opponent the University of St. Thomas Celts (2-1-1) at 7 p.m.
