TIFFIN, Ohio - Megan Haber has been named the Independents Collegiate Athletic Association (ICAA) Volleyball Player of the Week for NCAA Division II.
Haber, a junior from Lillian, Alabama, averaged 3.53 kills with 16 blocks and hit .500 for 22 sets in leading SHC to a 5-1 record. She had double-digit kills in five matches with a high of 19 versus Lindsey Wilson College.
The Badgers (11-3) will next host non-conference foe Tougaloo College (0-2) on Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center.
Since 2004, the ICAA has given recognition to schools of independent status at the NCAA DII level. The membership in volleyball includes Bluefield State, Palm Beach Atlantic, Oakland City, South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, Spring Hill, Union University and Washington Adventist. The weekly awards are chosen by ICAA Director Mike Bond.
