MCKENZIE, TENN. – The Spring Hill College volleyball team opened their conference schedule on Friday night with a 3-0 (25-20, 25-10, 25-12) victory over Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) newcomers the Bethel University Wildcats in the Crisp Center.
Freshman outside hitter Madison Seuzeneau of Tampa, Fla., belted out 17 kills for a .630 attack percentage while junior middle blocker Megan Haber of Lillian, Ala., stopped a total of seven shots.
Senior setter Taryn Nash of Independence, Mo., continued to have a stand out senior campaign adding 32 assists to her NAIA-leading assist totals. Nash now has 599 assists in 54 sets played. Senior libero Meredith Donald of Mobile collected 11 digs while freshman Molly Griffin of Westlake Village, Calif., roped in 15 more digs for the Badgers.
As a team, SHC built a .349 (36-7-83) attack percentage against the Bethel (0-8, 0-1 SSAC) defense and blocked 11 shots.
The Badgers (13-3, 1-0 SSAC) will next travel to Pulaski, Tenn., on Saturday to face the RedHawks of Martin Methodist College (0-5, 0-2 SSAC) in a conference match scheduled for a 1 p.m. start.
