PULASKI, TENN. – The Spring Hill College volleyball team won their sixth consecutive contest on Saturday afternoon with a 3-0 (25-9, 25-15, 25-9) conference victory over Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) newcomers the Martin Methodist College RedHawks at the Christian Life Center.
Junior middle blocker Megan Haber of Lillian, Ala., led the SHC charge with 11 kills and five block assists while senior setter Taryn Nash of Independence, Mo., contributed 28 assists and nine digs.
Senior libero Meredith Donald of Mobile collected 12 digs in the win as senior middle hitter Sha Sha Buchanan of Mobile tallied five kills and two of the 10 Badger aces on the day.
Collectively, SHC hit .372 (39-7-86) with seven total team blocks while limiting the RedHawks to a -.012 (18-19-81) attack percentage with only two total team blocks.
The Badgers (14-3, 2-0 SSAC) will step back out of conference play to travel to New Orleans, La., on Wednesday to face the Dillard University Bleu Devils (3-0) beginning at 6 p.m.
