The Spring Hill College Department of Athletics has named cross country runner Jordan Travis and volleyball player Madison Seuzeneau as its USA ROTC-Spring Hill College Student-Athletes of the Week for their accomplishments during the week of September 9-15, 2013.
Travis, a sophomore from Poplarville, Miss., ran the 22nd fastest 8-kilometer time in SHC history with a mark of 27:55.90 on Saturday morning at the 13th annual Gulf Coast Stampede hosted by the University of West Florida in Pensacola. In just his second year on The Hill, Travis has now placed his name in the SHC record books six times with four Top 30 times in the 8-kilometer run and Top 10 times in both the 5-kilometer and 4-mile events.
Seuzeneau, a freshman from Tampa, Fla., built a .523 attack percentage in three matches this week with 41 kills, five digs and two block assists. In her first collegiate season, Seuzeneau is third on the Badger squad with 143 total kills to go along with 24 digs, 19 receptions, and 14 total blocks.
In recognition of this honor, each week's winners of USA ROTC-Spring Hill College Student-Athletes of the Week award will receive a T-shirt, water bottle and handy gym bag compliments of the University of South Alabama ROTC.
