The Spring Hill College women's soccer team began the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) portion of their schedule on Friday afternoon with a 3-0 to the Golden Tigers of Brenau University at Library Field.

The Golden Tigers (4-2-1, 1-0 SSAC) scored all three of their goals in the first half in the 7th, 28th and 42nd minutes off the foot of Esther Anyanwu. The first tally came as she beat the SHC goalkeeper one-on-one from seven yards out and the next two goals were mirrior images of each other as Jenny Knibbs lifted two nice entry passes into the box from 18 yards out to hit a running Anyanwu who ripped in the scores from 5 yards in front of the goal.

SHC keeper Maggie Dalessio made two saves against 11 shots while Brenau's Tori Brown made five saves against nine Badger shots in the shutout. Brenau took four corner kicks and limited SHC to just one.

The Badgers (5-2-0, 0-1 SSAC) will remain in conference play versus the Brewton-Parker Lady Barons (3-5, 0-1 SSAC) from Mt. Vernon, Ga., on Saturday at 2 p.m. on Library Field.
