JACKSON, Miss. – The Spring Hill College men's soccer team dropped a 4-0 Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) decision to the 3rd-ranked Belhaven University Blazers at H.T. Newell Field on Wednesday night.

Cillian Thompson of Belhaven (9-2-1, 5-0 SSAC) opened the scoring in the 10th minute of play off assists by Victor Lawrence and Lucas Befi. Befi would then add a goal of his own in the 14th minute to make it an early 2-0 deficit for the Badgers

Lawrence later would score the third goal of the night for the Blazers in the 52nd minute off an assist by Befi and Felipe Ferreira would tack on a fourth goal off a free kick in the 89th minute.

SHC sophomore goalkeeper Jacob Files of Clinton, Miss., would end the night with eight saves against 24 shots by the Blazers and Carl Blundell of Belhaven collected three saves versus just six Badger attempts.

The Badgers (5-6, 2-3 SSAC) will next host the 15th-ranked William Carey University Crusaders (7-3-1, 4-1 SSAC) at Library Field on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
