The Spring Hill College men's golf team posted a 303 score in the final round of the Chick-fil-A Collegiate Invitational in Rome, Ga., on Tuesday to finish in 15th place out of 24 teams. Overall, the team shot a combined 611 over the two-day event, including an opening round 308 on Monday.
The Badgers were led by senior Patrick Jenkins of Chandler, Ariz., who shot a combined 149 (+5) for the tournament and finished with a two-over-par 74 on Tuesday. Jenkins placed 23rd out of the 120 golfers in the event.
Freshman Eddie Smith of San Antonio, Tex., continued to play well in his collegiate career shooting a 152 (+8, 47th). Sophomore Will Loweth of Houston, Tex., and senior David Lysaught of Denver, Co., both came in with an 11-over 155 to tie for 60th position while sophomore Sean Bockerstett rounded out the Spring Hill competitiors with a 161 (+17, 94th)
The Spring Hill men next play in the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Championships on October 29-30 at the Azalea City Golf Club in Mobile, Ala.
