CLINTON, Miss. – The Spring Hill College men's cross country team finished with a 3rd place finish out of 9 teams at the annual Watson Ford Invitational hosted by Mississippi College at Choctaw Trails on Friday evening.
The Badgers collected 106 combined points and ran a total team time of 2:27:59.77 with an average time of 29:35.96 over the 8,000-meter course.
Sophomore Jordan Travis of Poplarville, Miss., ran the course in 28:09.05 for a 10th place finish out of 73 runners while junior John Russell of Cullman, Ala., recorded a time of 28:20.98 for 12th place and sophomore Patrick Lameka of Chicago, Ill., was the third Badger to cross the line with a mark of 28:55.03 and 17th place.
Sophomore Brennan McLean of Baton Rouge, La., placed 39th in a time of 31:14.90 and freshman Seamus Russell of Cullman came in with a 40th place finish in 31:19.81.
Junior Conner Kirkikis of Kenner, La., was 44th in 31:55.82 while sophomore Phillip Travis of Poplarville ran a 32:21.19 event for 48th place.
Other Badger runners included sophomore Conner Bueche of Baton Rouge who was in 52nd place at 32:50.68, freshman Brennan Sigue of Lafayette, La., in 55th place in 33:31.76 and freshman Alex Vaporciyan from Houston, Texas, ran a time of 36:12.65.
Spring Hill next runs on Saturday, October 12, at the Montevallo Falcon Classic in Montevallo, Ala., beginning at 8:45 a.m.
