TIFFIN, Ohio – For the second time in the 2013 season Megan Haber has been named the Independents Collegiate Athletic Association (ICAA) Volleyball Player of the Week for NCAA Division II.
Haber, a junior from Lillian, Alabama, averaged 3.11 kills with nine blocks and hit .400 over nine sets in leading SHC to a 3-0 record. She had 11 kills and four blocks against Mobile on Tuesday and tallied 10 kills and hit .444 in a sweep of Brenau University on Saturday.
The Badgers (21-3) will next host non-conference foe Dillard University (6-3) on Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center.
Since 2004, the ICAA has given recognition to schools of independent status at the NCAA DII level. The membership in volleyball includes Bluefield State, Palm Beach Atlantic, Oakland City, South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, Spring Hill, Union University and Washington Adventist. The weekly awards are chosen by ICAA Director Mike Bond.
