ORLANDO, Fla. – The Spring Hill College men's bowling team finished tied for 3rd place out of eight teams at the 2013 Central Florida Classic held in Orlando on Saturday and Sunday.
SHC emerged from Saturday's seeding rounds with a No. 4 seed after rolling a combined score of 5,348. On Sunday, the Badgers met top seeded Webber International in the semifinal round and fell by the score of 2-0 (203-129; 173-130).
Individually, Brian Bodenheimer of Kenner, La., was named to All-Tournament Team following his 3rd place finish out of 83 bowlers with a 209.83 average and a total pin count of 1,259.
Ryan Hauck of Pen Argyl, Pa., finished in 14th place with a total of 1,130 pins and an average of 188.33 while Charles R. Noble Jr of Metairie, La., was 17th in total of 1,118 and an average of 186.33.
Kyle Broussard of New Iberia, La., rolled a score of 918 for 36th position in a 153.00 average while his brother Chase Broussard bowled in four rounds for a total of 634 and an average of 158.50 to close the match in 67th place. Kenny Nealon rolled two games and averaged 144.50 in a 289 total to round out the Badger participants with a 79th place finish.
SHC will next roll at the Brunswick Southern Collegiate Classic on November 2-3 at Brunswick Zone Austell in Marietta, Ga.
