NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Spring Hill College volleyball team defeated the Southern University at New Orleans (SUNO) Lady Knights in a non-conference match at The Castle on Tuesday night by the score of 3-0 (25-16, 25-19, 25-17).
The Badgers were led on offense by junior hitter Megan Haber of Lillian, Ala., who racked up 17 kills and a .652 attack percentage. Senior setter Taryn Nash of Independence, Mo., distributed 35 assists to bring her within 63 assists of 5,000 handouts in her career. Junior Sami Maurer of St. Louis, Mo., served up four aces while sophomore Mallory Raulerson of Mobile added three services aces.
Overall, Spring Hill built a .333 attack percentage (38-8-90) with 38 digs and seven total blocks.
With the victory over SUNO (12-8), the Badgers extended their current winning streak to 17 matches.
Spring Hill (25-3, 10-0 SSAC) returns to New Orleans on Tuesday to face conference and Jesuit rival the Loyola University (La.) Wolf Pack (7-16, 5-7 SSAC) at the Den with a 7:30 p.m. start.
